Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, the breadth is solid.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.
FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That should be a good addition when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. It does inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal works is your call.
