TabTrade Overview - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade - What It Is

TabTrade went live in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the founder knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Interesting choice.

What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.

Platforms

Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That will be a good addition once it is live.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at a much wider range.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.

Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

Regulation

Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. But be part of your decision.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
