TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch
Tab Trade - The Short Version
Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should make the platform set when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The speed is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the thing that matters. The broker is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
But. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of your assessment.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard sign-up bonus. You fund your account, the broker add bonus funds. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
